Responsible Service of Alcohol Policy

Declaration

In this policy, ‘us,’ ‘we’, ‘our’, or ‘venue’ refers to FANCY HANKS CITY PTY LTD - ABN 20 611 317 321-  t/a Good Heavens, Fancy Hank’s and Springrock Public Bar.

As a licensee, harm minimisation and responsible alcohol service are crucial objectives of Fancy Hank’s City Pty Ltd. We have strict measures and practices in place to reduce the risks of alcohol misuse and abuse on our licensed premises. We strive to provide all our patrons with an enjoyable, safe, and welcoming environment.

Recognised RSA Certificate

All team members involved in liquor sale, supply or service must hold a recognised RSA Certificate or equivalent valid in the State or Territory where they work.

Accordingly, all team members involved in the sale, supply or service of alcohol must provide original documentation as proof of having obtained a recognised RSA Certificate or equivalent upon commencing work with the venue. RSA refresher courses must be undertaken following regulatory requirements.

Minors

The venue is aware of the potential for people under the age of 18 to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages on our premises. Accordingly, we are committed to taking all possible measures to ensure minors do not buy or drink alcohol.

Venue team members endeavour to prevent underage drinking by requesting photo identification from any persons who appear under 25 years of age and only accept the approved forms of photo ID as permitted under applicable State or Territory law. The venue reserves the right to refuse entry or request a Minor vacate the premises at any time.

Intoxication

Team members understand it is an offence to:

• Sell liquor to an intoxicated patron;

• Supply or provide liquor to an intoxicated patron;

• Allow another person to supply an intoxicated patron with liquor;

• Allow an intoxicated patron to consume liquor.

The venue does not sanction or approve promotions that may encourage the rapid or excessive consumption of alcohol in any of its venues, which may lead to intoxication. Team members are required to encourage and promote responsible alcohol consumption.

The service of alcohol requires team members to make assessments about refusing alcohol when it is perceived that another drink will result in intoxication. Team members have the full support of management in making such assessments.

All team members have the right to refuse service or entry to any patron who displays signs of undue intoxication.

Duty of Care

We acknowledge that we have a duty of care to patrons. We take all reasonable steps to ensure their safety while on the premises and, in cases of intoxication, to facilitate their smooth departure from the premises.

Safe Premises

Abusive, argumentative, indecent or violent behaviour is not tolerated, and offenders will be removed from our premises.

License

The venue agrees to have an approved liquor license as granted by the applicable State or Territory where liquor is to be served. All required information, signage, and permits will be prominently displayed at the venue.

Partnerships

Any third parties associated with our venues are expected to informally or formally follow the set-out Responsible Service of Alcohol Policy and have measures in place to ensure their activities and business don’t contradict this.
