The Food

Sixteen hours in the smoker. That's what goes into the brisket before it hits your table.

Hank's Platter is built for groups: brisket with real bark, ribs that fall clean off the bone, pulled pork, house-made sides, and enough sauce to get into trouble with. Slow-smoked over Australian hardwood, low and slow, the way it's meant to be done.

Vegetarian options available. Everyone's covered.

Beverage Packages

Keep it simple. Choose a beverage package and we'll take care of the rest. Beer, wine, and soft drinks to keep the table happy from the first toast to the last.

Why Fancy Hank's

BBQ is American by nature - and so is the way we host. Big platters in the middle of the table, everyone reaching in, nobody waiting to be served. It's the kind of food that breaks the ice before anyone's had to think of a conversation starter.

  • The brisket goes in the smoker 16 hours before it hits your table. The ribs fall clean off the bone. The pulled pork gets piled high.
  • The room does the work too -warm timber, exposed brick, low lighting. It feels like somewhere, not a function space that's been cleared for the occasion.
  • Shared platters mean everyone's eating the same thing at the same time. No one's left waiting. No awkward silences.

FUNCTION PACKAGES

We've got EOFY covered.

Our function kit is designed for sharing — low 'n' slow BBQ platters packed with brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and all the sides. Groups of 10 or more dine on shared platters, preselected at least 48 hours in advance so we can fire up the good stuff just right.

If you want to add a celebration cake for $45 or a half rack of ribs for $40, let us know. We require 48 hours' notice.

We cater for groups from 10 to 80 guests. Submit an enquiry, and we'll be in touch.

THE VENUE

Fancy Hank's is located at 1/79 Bourke Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 - right in the CBD, easy to get to, and even easier to stay for another round.

Open 7 days, 12pm 'til late.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice — or no-shows — will incur a $20 per person fee.

A 20% surcharge applies on public holidays.

Please note, due to the age of the building, Fancy Hank's is not wheelchair accessible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
