About Fancy Hank’s

OUR STORY

Fancy Hank’s came from humble beginnings.

In 2012, Kent Bell started a humble pop-up in Richmond, called Fancy Hank’s. It ran as a roaming American BBQ business for 2 years, before him and close friend Mike Patrick came together to look for a permanent location. 

We found a temporary home at the Mercat Cross Hotel, where we traded 4 days a week over the next year. Due to raging success and increasing popularity, in 2014 we combined with Myles Munro and Daragh Kan to create Fancy Hank’s BBQ Joint, a permanent venue at the same Mercat Cross Hotel location.

Then, in late 2016, we finally moved into our current and final home - a stunning art deco building on Bourke Street, in the heart of the CBD.

Our love of good food knows no bounds. After so much feedback on our house-made sauces and seasonings, we launched them to the public. Fancy Hank’s products are now available across Australia in all good grocers and retailers including David Jones.
